Halloween 2004

I've just finished writing my Monday newsletter and am off to dress up the house for Halloween. I believe that if you decorate too early, it takes away from the shock of it all. As I work on the set-up for this year, I decided to put some photos up from 2004.

On the left is a decapitated body. It worked really well except the kids wanted to look under the sheet to see the head. Have a great Halloween folks. Oh, that's how I answered the door that year. I'm sure that you are now happy you know what I look like. B) I'm a sick bastard.

  1. Happy Halloween! Was it easy to wash away the fake blood? Are you adding anything new this year?

  2. The blood came off pretty easy. I took away the dead body this year. I was really tempted to leave one in the front yard with the lawn mower on top of the head but I felt that might be more extreme than last year. I scaled back to sounds. One stereo playing houwls and growls while the inside stereo plays what I had last year (spooky music, shouts, chains, howls, screams...) I also set up 3 remote devices to set off when someone gets close. The best sound from that is the freaked out cat screech. The cheesy growling "Happy Halloween," I could do without but it works. B)

  3. My neighbor made a haunted house out of his garage, complete with a chainsaw, coffin, and other assorted goodies. Yours looks pretty darned good.

    Hope it went well.

  6. Groovy! I was too lazy to decorate this year. Besides, I live with my sister and she's got all kinds of "cutesy" Halloween crap.

  8. I remember those pictures from last year and I'm still laughing at the thought of countless terrified children. Those were the BEST houses to go to when I was still a trick-or-treater!
